West End Farm Stud is a small family
run business providing a full range of services including broodmare, youngstock
and stallion livery.
Our own breeding programme concentrates on
producing quality horses with good temperment able to go on and compete at any
discipline.
Personal attention is given to every mare in a peaceful
environment with quiet, professional handling which allows horses to relax. We
will endeavour to fulfil your individual requirements allowing you the peace of
mind that your horse will not be treated as a number.
Our facilities
for the Stud & AI Centre include large foaling boxes fitted with CCTV,
foaling alarms linked to a pager, examination stocks, 24 hour on site staff,
qualified AI techinican on site, specialist vets on call - Equine Reproduction
Ltd - Dr J F Pycock Bvet Med PhD DESM MRCVS, up to date laboratory to enable
use of Fresh or Chilled semen.

resident and 3 visiting stallions for 2011.
- Mares taken for on site and visiting stallions by Natural
Service or AI
- Mares taken for shipped Chilled Semen from outside
stallions
- Mares taken for foaling
- Stallions taken on Livery for training to collect for
AI
- Mares and Foals taken for weaning.
- All year round Broodmare and Youngster Livery.

Foaling
Service
Having a foal is a very exciting time but it is also very
stressful and time consuming - the foal will come when it is ready day or
night!
We have large foaling boxes fitted with CCTV and very experienced,
knowledgable staff who will do their best to ensure the best care for your mare
and her foal.
We do have limited availablity for foaling your mare in
2011

Foaling Fee - Livery
plus £150 or
£75 for mares visiting WEF stallions or in foal to
WEF stallions
This includes round the clock monitoring of your mare
leading up to foaling, .ensuring the foal can stand unaided, ensuring the foal
has suckled and checking that the mare has passed her afterbirth.. It does not
include any veterinary fees arising for the mare or foal.
